EurNegVec education and research network on arthropod-transmitted infectious diseases


EURNEGVEC is a COST action (http://www.cost.eu/domains_actions/bmbs/Actions/TD1303). Its main objective is to establish a powerful transboundary network of partner institutions across Europe that are involved in education and research related to arthropod-transmitted infectious diseases of man and animals (leishmaniasis among them), a network addressing the growing importance of vector-borne diseases at a time of Global Change, all integrated under the One Health concept, and reflecting the complexity and demands of currenthigh-end research.

EUBrazilCloudConnect will be represented there by Israel Cruz, ISCIII, who will stimulate a discuss on the origin of the recent leishmaniasis outbreak in Madrid. The conference will see the presence of researchers in the field of vector-borne diseases, from different institutions in 30 different countries: Portugal, Spain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, UK, Ireland, Denmark, Czech Republic, Poland, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Greece, Serbia, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Israel, Latvia, Estonia, Sweden, Norway. All these represent potential users of the Leishmaniasis Virtual Lab developed in EUbrazilCloudConnect for the Use Case I.
