Introduce the current vision and approaches that Microsoft is doing regarding Open Source software with focus on how Universities and the software industry can work together in research programs that can bring more value to the society.

Alessandro Jannuzzi is the Open Source Platform Manager for Microsoft Brasil.

He is responsible for interoperability projects with Open Source software in the company including research projects using Open Source in private and public cloud.

He strongly believes in partnerships between communities of users and developers to deliver the best solutions. Jannuzzi has more than 17 years of experience in the IT area, with great expertise in Unix and Linux Operating Systems administration for mission critical applications.

He led and participated in projects to implement Open Source software in corporate environments in areas such as Information Security, Servers and  Storages, High Availability and Data Integration.
